Asta Runs the Gauntlet: How Does Black Clover’s Underdog Rank Against Anime’s Ultimate Swordsmen & Magic-Less Titans?

 

When you think about perseverance and not giving up Asta from Black Clover is one of the famous characters in modern Shonen. Asta was born without any magic in a world where magic's everything. It determines your standing and how good you are at fighting.. Asta wants to become the Wizard King. He has to work hard to get there. He does this by training his body all the time and using something called Anti-Magic. He also never gives up.

 

Asta has some cool and powerful swords. These swords are called the Demon-Slayer, Demon-Dweller, Demon-Destroyer and Demon-Slasher Katana. He also has some powers that make him very strong. This makes him very scary for anyone who uses magic.. How would Asta do if he was not in the Clover Kingdom?

 

Today we are going to test Asta in a lot of different fights. We are going to match him up against people who're very good at fighting without magic people who are incredibly strong and people who are legendary with a sword. We are going to look at how these fights would work and what would happen. We are going to match Asta up against people, like Mash Burnedead and Dracule Mihawk. Lets see how these fights would go and who would win.

Tier 1: The Magic-Less Misfits

 

1. Asta vs. Mash Burnedead (Mashle: Magic and Muscles)

The idea is that we have two guys from school who were born without any magic in a world where magic's everything. They have to use their strength and come up with weird ways to fight.

Lets break down how they work

In Black Clover Asta has something called Anti-Magic. This is an energy from the devil Liebe that can cut, stop and send back magic spells.. Mash Burnedead is different. He does not have any magic all. He can do some crazy things just because he is really strong. For example he can move plates with one kick stop super fast spells with his hands and move so fast it looks like he is in two places at once.

When it comes to fighting Mash is really good at using his body.

If they are just fighting normally Mash is way stronger than a person. He has some moves, like Gaius Burst or Continental Move that can hit really hard.

Things change when Asta uses his Devil Union.When Asta does this he can fly fast sense what is going on around him and use a special sword called Black Divider.

So the question is who wins?

Since Astas Anti-Magic does not work on Mashs body they just have to fight it out and see who is stronger. Mash can take a lot of damage. Do some funny things but Asta can fly around sense what is happening and move really fast. This means Asta has a chance of winning but it will be a tough fight.So as fan of both series it’s hard to say but Asta wins.

 

2. Asta vs. Will Serfort (Wistoria: Wand and Sword)

The idea is that Asta and Will Serfort are fighters who use blades and they have to deal with people who have a lot of magic. They want to keep the promises they made when they were kids to girls who're really good at magic.

Lets break down how they work

The way Will Serfort fights is that he uses his sword and he is very good at knowing what is going on
around him. He also has something called Wis that lets him take magic and put it into his sword so he can hit people with different kinds of magic.

When Asta and Will Serfort fight it is like a test of who is better. Will Serfort is very good at taking down people who have a lot of magic by using the magic of his friends. Asta has a special power that stops magic from working around him.

If Will Serfort tries to use magic or swing his sword with magic in it near Asta, Astas sword or his special rock and magic stopping waves will just take the magic away. This means Will Serfort will just be a sword fighter again.

So the question is who wins?

The result is that Asta is just better than Will Serfort. Asta is faster and stronger. Can take more damage. When Asta uses his power, true Anti-Magic he can just overpower Will Serfort really easily. So Asta. It is not even a hard fight, for him. Asta and his anti-magic powers are too much for Will Serfort to handle. So share your point of views too.

Tier 2: The Universal God-Tier

 

3. Asta vs. Reinhard van Astrea (Re:Zero)

The idea here is that the ultimate person who can stop magic meets someone with favor from a higher power, endless good things happening to them and the ability to control big ideas in the universe.

Lets break down how they work

Lets look at how things work for Reinhard van Astrea. He is the powerful person in Re:Zero and he has

many special protections called Divine Protections or Blessings of the World. These protections help him avoid getting hit at first stop projectiles from hurting him make him resistant to areas let him read peoples

feelings and even bring him back to life when he dies, thanks to the Divine Protection of the Phoenix. On the hand Asta has something called Anti-Magic, which can get rid of things made with magic and the rules of magic.

The big question is whether Astas Anti-Magic can stop Reinhards protections.

If these blessings are like magic: Since Reinhards special protections come from the system in Re:Zero, Astas special sword, the Demon-Destroyer Sword might be able to break the connection between Reinhard and his special protections when they touch.

What Reinhard can do without magic: without his special protections Reinhard is really good at fighting with his sword, the Dragon Sword Reid and he can use the power around him to make himself almost unbeatable.

So the question is who wins?

The decision is that Reinhard does not just rely on magic or his special protections to win. He is also really good at fighting with his sword fast and can control the air around him with one swing of his sword. Even if Astas Anti-Magic stops Reinhards protections Reinhards strength, speed and ability to come back, to life give him the upper hand. Reinhard van Astrea wins this fight of big ideas.

Tier 3: The Master Swordsmen

 

4. Asta vs. Roronoa Zoro (One Piece)

 

The idea here is that Astas ability to sense Ki and use Anti-Magic's going up against Roronoa Zoros really strong Conquerors Haki and his Three-Sword Style.

Lets break down how they work

When we break down how these two fight it is easy to see why people like to argue about who would win. Both Asta and Roronoa Zoro can take a lot of damage. Are very good at reading what the other person is going to do. Asta uses his Ki to figure out what is going on. Roronoa Zoro uses his Observation Haki.

When it comes to fighting Roronoa Zoros Haki is very different from magic. It is more about his willpower and the strength of his spirit. So Astas swords cannot just make Roronoa Zoros attacks, like the King of Hell slashes or Conquerors Haki go away.

So the question is who wins?

Asta is really good at moving in the air with his Devil Union flight and his Black Hurricane. He can change direction quickly. On the hand Roronoa Zoro is amazing at cutting things even from far away. He can cut through dragon scales and mountains with his moves like 1030 Mercy Dragon.

In the end Asta has some advantages because he can fly and use his Anti-Magic from away.. Roronoa Zoros ability to cut things with his swords and his Three-Sword techniques are very powerful. Asta can track Roronoa Zoros movements easily with his Ki sensing. Roronoa Zoros Conquerors Haki attacks are so strong that Astas Anti-Magic cannot stop them. This fight would be very intense. Roronoa Zoros skills with a sword give him a small advantage, over Asta. But Asta losses to Zoro.

5. Asta vs. Dracule Mihawk (One Piece)

The Idea: Asta the Anti-Magic Demon is fighting Dracule Mihawk the Worlds Strongest Swordsman.

Lets break down how they work

Dracule Mihawk is really good with a sword. He has a sword called Yoru. Dracule Mihawk can cut through things like icebergs and mountains with ease.

What Happens When They Fight

Astas Magic Canceling Does Not Work: Dracule Mihawk does not use magic. He just uses his sword skills and experience. So Astas main advantage is not helpful.

Sword Fighting vs. Being Strong: Asta likes to rush at people with his sword. Hit them hard.. Dracule Mihawk is really good at using his sword. He can see what Asta is going to do and stop him. Dracule Mihawk is better at sword fighting than Asta.

So the question is who wins?

Astas Devil Union makes Dracule Mihawk take the fight seriously.. Dracule Mihawk is just too good with a sword. He can control the fight from start to finish. Dracule Mihawk wins because he is the best, at using a sword.

Final Breakdown: Where Does Asta Stand?
